About Our Company

Our company was founded in 1993 by Domenic G. Urbani. Working out of his family's one-car garage, Domenic began by producing wholesale neon for some of the biggest names in the sign industry, under the name Urban Neon. Domenic's business quickly outgrew the garage and into a dedicated manufacturing facility with several employees by committing to quality craftsmanship and customer service. As the company grew, so did the core products and services offered, as Urban Neon began manufacturing various sign types and offering installation and service.

In 2010 Urban Neon began shifting its focus towards national accounts after hiring Account Representative Jim Malin, assembling a dedicated project management team led by Richard Liberatore, and establishing streamlined manufacturing practices implemented by Production Manager Mark McClung. The move quickly ushered in an abundance of work, and Urban Neon moved into their current 30,000 sq/ft facility in Holmes, PA. The years following brought expansive growth to the company, allowing Urban Neon to grow their team of highly skilled fabricators and administrative staff and optimize their facilities with state-of-the-art equipment.

In 2019, the company faced extreme hardship when founder Domenic G. Urbani passed away unexpectedly. But rather than remain paralyzed by grief and the overwhelming obstacles they faced, Urban Neon's leadership and employees banded together around a renewed purpose to grow the business and legacy Domenic had worked all his life to build.

Through perseverance, the company has continued to thrive while remaining dedicated to its founder's vision and core values. President Domenic J. Urbani is committed to moving the company forward with continuous process improvement and a commitment to clients and their brands. To better align the company's identity with its core offerings, the name was updated to Urban Sign Group in 2022, with Urban Neon becoming a division of the company solely focused on manufacturing, servicing, and restoring neon signs. The change brings a renewed commitment to the highest quality craftsmanship and customer service.
